Reflections on Rejection

October 21, 2014

I've added a few rejection letters to my site which can be found on my site under Reflections on Rejection. I learned a lot during the height of editor to author exchanges that don't exist anymore. Personalized letters on thick manila paper have given way to e-mails sent to editors who never respond--it's the equivalent to sending your query into a black hole. An automated rejection is the norm. This is not the fault of editors who are usually overworked.
